As you enjoy this day off, please pause and think of the Men & Women that are serving in Afghanistan and around the world.
These people and their families make terrific sacrifices to be able to serve Canada and the people of this great nation.
I am proud to say that my brother, SGT D.M. (Dale) Eisnor is one of those people who served in Afghanistan in 2006-2007.
I live in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada were the Navy is a large part of our lives. This year is the Canadian Naval Centennial. The Navy is celebrating 100 years and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Phillip were here to help commemorate the occasion.
I hope that you share my pride in the Men & Women of the Canadian Armed Forces. If you see them today, thank them for protecting the greatest country in the world. (In my opinion)
