Tuesday’s Tip of the Week ~ Smooch Spritz

BSCG Aug10 Newsletter Tool Tip Smooch Spritz

Do you want an affordable way to add shimmer to your Cards, Scrap Book Pages or Projects? You need Smooch Spritz. They are Pearlized Accents Sprays that are easy to use and come in 4 colors – Gold Glow #118770, Silver Foil #118771, Vanilla Shimmer #118772 and Log Cabin #119921.

When you first receive the Smooch Spritz, the bottles have plastic over the cap to secure the cap from coming off. Remove the plastic and vigorously shake the glass bottle to mix the shimmer particles. The shimmer particles tend to settle to the bottom. You will have to shake the bottles before each use.

The Smooch Spritz are in a round glass bottles. When you are using them, make sure that you place them on a towel to prevent them from rolling off of the work surface and breaking.

I recommend using the Color Catcher #121093, when you use the Smooch Spritz. It will protect your area from over spray and will keep your project upright. Also, it is is better to hold the Smooch Spritz Bottles upright to get an even spray.

You want to hold the Smooch Spritz Bottles about 6-8 inches away the project. The closer you are the more intense the coverage is and the farther away you are the less intense the coverage. In the photo I held the bottles about 5-6 inches away to obtain an intense coverage, so it will show up in the photo. You should experiment to get the look that you desire.

You can layer the Smooch Spritzes. You have to make sure that the first layer dries before adding another layer. If you would like to speed up the drying time, you can use the Heat Tool #100005.

The Smooch Spritz can be used on Card Stock, Designer Series Paper, Chipboard, Textured Cut Wood Sheets #116309, Ribbon, Paper Daisies #119243 etc. See how versatile the Smooch Spritzes are!

You should clean off the excess Smooch Spritz from around the nozzle after every use or as necessary. If the nozzle becomes clogged with the glitter/shimmer particles, then remove the nozzle and soak it in an all-purpose household cleaner. After it dries, spray the first spray onto a scrap piece of paper to ensure that there isn't any all-purpose household cleaner left in the nozzle.

You will be amazed at the look that you can achieve with the Smooch Spritz.
