Learn how to make Stampin’ Up! Christmas Everywhere Kit extra cards with the leftover pieces – get more for your money with this great kit!
You may be looking for this kit in one of the catalogues, but you won’t find it. This is kit, along with the other kits, are Online Exclusive products that Stampin’ Up! offers. I didn’t want you to miss out on this kit. And I REALLY didn’t want you to miss out on how to make Stampin’ Up! Christmas Everywhere Kit Extra cards with the leftover pieces! I LOVE stretching my crafting budget and when I see opportunities for people to get more from their stash, I share them!
Do you have a love one that lives in warmer areas or will be down south for Christmas? This kit has the traditional Christmas Trees, as well as Palm Trees and Cacti and would be perfect for them.
I started by laying out all of the pieces that comes with the Christmas Everywhere Kit (162422) and I found that there are a lot of pieces that are extra. I made the Christmas Everywhere Kit by following the instructions to the tee and I created 9 Christmas Cards quite quickly. This is what I had left over to create the alternative cards.
This is the sheet of Palm Trees and Cacti that are left over. There are actually 2 of these sheets.
Each card has a sentiment banner that comes in Granny Apple Green, Pretty Peacock or Real Red and as you can tell, there is one of each colour remaining to use on your alternative cards.
There will be 3 background layers with trees that left over.
For the alternative Christmas Everywhere Kit cards, I wanted to keep them simple for the purpose of this tutorial and use as little extra supplies that didn’t come with the kit to show you the value of this kit. You can go wild and use whatever products you have on hand to take your projects to the next level.
IMPORTANT: I didn’t have enough sentiment banners for 2 of my alternatives, so I made them myself. You’ll use one of the ones that come with the kit as a template, so you’ll need to make them before you attach the original ones to your cards. It is much easier this way.
The sentiment banner is flipped over in this photo. The Real Red Cardstock is 1-1/4” wide. The length is 6”, but that doesn’t matter, because you’ll be cutting it off.
Using Paper Snips (103579), you are going to trim the Real Red Cardstock to match the sentiment banner. You are going to turn the banner around and trim the other side. These sentiment banners were an odd size so it is hard to duplicate them exactly, but I think that they look good.
